The reason why your blog came up in my search was that I called the Stockbridge Town Clerk today and she read off all of the Colemans who live and were born around 1819. I was searching the Town Records from 1818-1820 and a lawyer named Benjamin Coleman Esq. kept appearing. The Town Clerk gave me names, birthdates, and any death information she had. I googled one of the names and your blog post appeared.
Deb Lugbauer Princeton, Ma

Timeline
Birth
1819 abt
Stockbridge, VT
4 Sources
Add Media
Marriage
1838 30 Oct — Age: 19
Rochester, Vermont, USA
1 Source
Add Media
Residence
1850 — Age: 31
Brandon, Rutland, Vermont
Age: 32
1 Source
Add Media
Residence
1860 — Age: 41
Leicester, Addison, Vermont, United States
Age: 42
1 Source
Add Media
Residence
1880 — Age: 61
Brandon, Rutland, Vermont, USA
Age: 62; Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Wife
1 Source
Add Media
Death
1892 9 Jan — Age: 73
Winchendon, Massachusetts, USA
Age: 73
1 Source
Add Media
View DetailsAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04324592291635366566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-927980505520682451.post-29195549016247300372014-01-22T13:07:20.032-05:002014-01-22T13:07:20.032-05:00That sounds like a good clue. I know there was another prominent (big grave stone) Col(e)man family nearby. How did you tie her to Stockbridge?Sara E. I know it is a long shot, but I was wondering if she might be the other female listed on the two census you are referring to. She married in about 1836 to James Shepstone and lived in Rutland Vermont. The town clerk in Stockbridge Vermont listed Benjamin, Betsy, Rhonda, Mary, Helen and John. It is stretching it but our Emma does have children named Mary and Betsey.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04324592291635366566noreply@blogger.com
